Un-Occupy Bloomington!

DSC_0113Image by komoriblue via Flickr
In October of 2011 a group of weekend activist gathered together calling themselves "Occupy Bloomington". Anti-Society t.v. was there broadcasting LiveStream and asked the question "Why are you here?" to anyone passing by. Not very many members of the "Occupy Bloomington" group utilized the Live feed, but a number of long time "homeless" and "street people" of Bloomington did. This is one of them...

I didn't spend much time at the camp because I am allergic to Grapefruit, Pineapple, and Trustifarians. I had the Hives as a result, and I had to leave. LOL I fared well in Berzerkeley's People's Park, Tompkin's Square Park in the Lower East Side, Earth People's Park in Norton Vermont, and even both Hog Farms (Wavy's and Yonder's). Oh yeah. Plus Rollo's Farm, and Zeus's Farm. The difference in Bloomington is that the Noobs came in attempting to set "Rules" for the Parkies who have always dwelled here, and then the Noobs did act a bit like a cult. Or was it a clique. Needless to say, the mainly disrupted the Milleux of the existing inhabitants, and became the corporate fat cats that they were initially protesting against. Now that the event has been squelched, I may be able to ride my bike through the park, and maybe even play some guitar without some dudes trying to borrow my guitar. The Occupy folks seem to have gotten off lucky with the fact that the city didn't use tear gas or fire hoses on the park. I feel that most of the movement was some kind of contrivance of egotistic cock fighting in the name of photo opportunities and other such ilk. I have been billy clubbed by the face scrapers, and believe me; It hurts a lot. This movement seemed to actually kiss the arse of the Regency and Gentry once they started making sleazy "Deals" with the mayor. Then, when it went badly they seemed to immediately go to town hall to suckle the leathery breast of the corporate beast itself. It was a collective shameful series of acts that leaves me slightly disgusted. And I actually "AM" a Hippie. I hope that you repost this statement ASTV. And maybe even put up my actual video interview on YouTube. It may indeed illuminate the real causes occurring in Amerika. I did find some of the "Older" hippies alright at times. The Occupy movement also dropped the ball when they ran off the guy who was bringing water to them with his van because he is a Christian. That kind of turned me off of their useless banter about the time that the electricity was cut. I think that the Occupy Movement kind of Neutered and Spayed itself very efficiently. Hey. at least they accomplished that. I am also surprised that this action did not result in the city putting a fourteen foot fence and gate around it and close the park for rennovations like New York did in 1991. Looks like they got off lucky this time. BTW. My statements are merely opinions. Ones which are backed up by a whole lot of experience coast to coast. I am a radical after all. It's really all about raising consciousness in the long run. So I consider it progressive PR for the few freedoms we have left in this modern world.                        -"Hippie" Dave "Wrongtree" Parsons

O.B. IS NOT and NEVER HAS been a REAL "Occupation" in any sense of the word, it is just a gathering of the Cadow-Johnson cult members. I feel sorry for all the genuine people who were dupped by this mockery of an "Occupation", and hope that in the future we ALL might learn to "Occupy" together instead of following another to lead. Follow the leader is what got us all (as a global human community) in this state of self imposed slavery.

The Turning of the Tide

Seal of the President of the United States
Exposing the real story behind global events, which shape the future of human existence and the world we leave our children. The veil lifts on an astonishing web of interconnected manipulation to reveal that the same few people, secret societies and organizations control the daily direction of our lives, & how the same people on apparently different sides of politics are actually connected to the same elite organizations. These organizations have the same proven agenda of a world government, a world central bank, a world army, a world currency, and some say a micro-chipped population. “OPPO-SAMES” These apparent opposites in politics are there to persuade us that we are not living in a prison, that we have a choice. Yet these persons are not opposites at all but are part of a one-party state. The last two US Presidents were apparently opposites and on different sides – Bill Clinton and George Bush – yet they were both heavily involved within the same elite organizations. David Icke explains: “What happens in practice is that if you look at all the dogmas in all cultures, all societies have what I call a ‘hassle-free zone.’ It is that area within any culture, within each dogma (religious, economic, political etc) wherein if you conform to it, you are in the comfort zone. No one’s going to laugh at you, condemn you for being different, or for expressing your uniqueness, because you are locked into the herd mentality, and you are conforming to what you are told you should be and do. When you step out of this mind-set and express your unique aspect of all that exists and refuse to be frightened, or controlled, you immediately face ridicule or condemnation as I have in England.” “THE SHEEPLE” “Whatever happened to living? The vast majority of people, rich and poor, on this planet are enslaved. Enslaved by the system’s robotic programming, its economic imprisonment, and by their own refusal to think, question and find the liberation that comes with an open mind. We don’t live in a free society, we live as robots in a society in which you are free to do what the society wants you to do – produce and consume – that’s the reality.

A brief History lesson for all of you "Occupyers"...

Mary Ann Vecchio gestures and screams as she k...Image via Wikipedia
On May 4, l970 members of the Ohio National Guard fired into a crowd of Kent State University demonstrators, killing four and wounding nine Kent State students. The impact of the shootings was dramatic. The event triggered a nationwide student strike that forced hundreds of colleges and universities to close. H. R. Haldeman, a top aide to President Richard Nixon, suggests the shootings had a direct impact on national politics. In The Ends of Power, Haldeman (1978) states that the shootings at Kent State began the slide into Watergate, eventually destroying the Nixon administration. Beyond the direct effects of the May 4th, the shootings have certainly come to symbolize the deep political and social divisions that so sharply divided the country during the Vietnam War era.

From Microcosm to Macrocosm - Complete Documentary

Well it is Sunday once again. A day when religious fanatics all over the world get a bit holier than on any other day of the week. Here at AStv we also like to set this day aside to examine the mysterious realm of spirituality. We at AStv do NOT adhere to any specific religious pratices or any certain spiritual beliefs, but would rather present different beliefs and practices throughout the world for you to examine for yourself.

So without any further ado we bring you..
From Microcosm to Macrocosm - the Complete Documentary.

One-hour documentary Maurice and the Pharaoh The Bucaille Report.
Written, produced and directed by Farouq Abdul-Aziz.
A M a n a r a Communications Inc., release (2010).

From the airport, the mummy had been transferred to the Museum of Anthropology for "hospitalization" and examination. On June 29, 1977, Paris Match reported that the truck containing the packing case and its occupant was ordered to pass by one of his two Luxor obelisks at the Place de la Concorde "so that the ancient monarch's soul could contemplate his glory inscribed on the stone in dithyrambic terms."
For Bucaille that was a crowning moment. A yield of two grueling years, aided by presidents Sadat and DEstaing, to launch Operation Ramses has finally materialized.

The outcome of Bucailles team work on the Egyptian mummies was made public in lectures at the Egyptian Antiquities Department at the Louvre, the Museum of Human Paleontology and at the French Academy of Medicine. In appreciation of his scientific findings the Academie Francaise had awarded Bucailles book Mummies of the Pharaohs; Modern Medical Investigations its 1988 History Prize. The Academie Nationale de Medicine had held Bucaille in high esteem for the bulk of his scientific contributions in 1991. Bucailles final scientific contribution was published in his book; Moses and Pharaoh: Hebrews in Egypt in 1995.
It seemed that a scientific answer to the ancient question has finally come into existence.

Religion and Spirituality (The Burning Times Documentary)

This beautifully crafted film is an in-depth look at the witch-hunts that swept through Europe just a few hundred years ago. False accusations and trials led to massive torture and burnings at the stake, and ultimately to the destruction of an organic way of life. The film advances the theory that widespread violence against women and the neglect of our environment today can be traced back to those times.

This was one of our darkest periods, one that brought out the very worst in people -- our morbid sadistic bloodthirst that thrilled in the power of life and death over others -- and it is, I think, fair to say that we still struggle with this now. Perhaps we always did. Even today, almost all women live with a distinct but unarticulated fear and uncertainty of their place in society, but perhaps in understanding what happened to bring that about -- that it was a specific series of events that really happened, and her fear is that awful legacy -- women may come to feel less isolated and more willing to move past that fear to find their own sense of purpose that they define for themselves. If this video plays any positive part in that, I am very happy for it.

Columbus is a fake!

For hundreds of years, Christopher Columbus has had a special place in the history of the New World. Traditionally, history textbooks have painted him as a kind of daring, enlightened explorer who single handedly pulled Europe out of the superstition of the Dark Ages. The ever increasing controversy surrounding annual Columbus Day celebrations, however, indicates that the traditional treatment of Columbus is largely inaccurate.

Most opposition to Columbus Day centers on the way Columbus and those who followed him treated Native Americans. After all, 1492 marked the beginning of the end for the native inhabitants of North America. Most of those who did not die from the diseases Europeans brought with them to the New World were killed outright, forced into slavery, or expelled from their homes. The gains Europeans made in the New World were at the expense of the native population.

Recent archaeological evidence has also shown that Columbus was not even the first European to reach North America. That honor goes to a Viking by the name of Leif Erikson who visited what we know call Newfoundland almost 500 years before Columbus reached Hispaniola. Unfortunately, hard evidence of the Erikson's exploits was not uncovered until the mid 20th century, so Columbus could not have known about them.

Although Erikson was the first European to reach North America, few would argue that this makes him a more important figure in world history than Columbus. Say what you will about Columbus, but you must admit that he was the one who opened up the New World for European colonization.

Although he has been presented to generations of American schoolchildren as a voice for reason in an age of superstition, the opposite is closer to the truth. No educated person in Europe in the 15th century actually believed that the Earth was flat. Further, Columbus himself had a much less accurate understanding of the earth than most intelectuals of his time. Columbus believed that the earth was pear shaped and made gross miscalculations about the size of the earth and the distance between Europe and Asia.

Ironically, it was his ignorance that was Columbus' greatest asset. The first time Columbus went to Queen Isabella of Spain to finance his voyage, she declined on the recommendation of an advisory panel which, on the basis of accurate calculations about the size of the earth, determined that Asia was too far from Europe to make such a voyage practical. If Columbus had believed what they knew, he probably never would have attempted to reach the Indies. Fortunately, he was ignorant about the size of the earth, so he was willing to attempt what no one else would. Luckily for him, he accidentally ran into a new landmass!

Every schoolchild knows that Columbus called the natives of Hispaniola "Indians" because he thought he had arrived at the East Indies. While it is easy to see why he would have been confused in 1492, it is worth noting that he never accepted the truth that he had discovered a new landmass. 14 years and three more voyages after first setting foot on North America, he went to his grave thinking he had made it to Asia.

Columbus' ignorance is all the more astonishing when you realize that since ancient times, Europeans and Asians have had some limited contact. After all, the reason Columbus departed from Spain in the first place was to find a Western trade route to Asia. Did he never ask himself why he had not seen any of the teas and silks for which he was searching? One would think that after visiting much of the Caribbean and some of South America without ever encountering one sign of Chinese culture, he would have realized that he was not in the Indies after all. For whatever reason, however, he either refused or was incapable of seeing the truth.

It is very interesting just how wrong the traditional view of Columbus is about almost every aspect of his life.
