What is all this "OCCUPY" crap about anyways?

If a picture is worth a thousand words then...

Get it? Do YOU understand what it is REALly about? Stop dividing yourselves over the smaller "causes", these things are only SYMPTOMS of the greater ILL(ness). This is a HUMANity issue (illness) and only YOU, each and every one of YOU reading this, watching this can resolve (cure/fix) "IT".

To the noble Occupiers of People's Park in Bloomington, IN (and elsewhere Globally) I say this, that now is NOT the time for compliance with the SYSTEM, I assure you that it will has WILL NOT by COMPLIANT to your needs, request, or demands! It does NOT want to be changed, or threatened.

The SYSTEM is YOUR OPPRESSOR!
Do not be fooled by the masks of "familiar faces" in your local Government, Officials, and yes I dare say it, or even your fellow citizens. The corruption and oppression run all throughout the system, even way down to the "small town America" roots. BE WARNED and BE AT READY, for the time will come when the SYSTEM and thus it's local Represententives ( I assure you that they have not been representing us for some time now) and Officials (the cops are on the SYSTEMS payroll and thus do NOT serve and protect us that appose the SYSTEM) will lose tolerance and come down upon you with the mighty fist of OPPRESSION and it will be firm! When that time comes, know that there are those of us out here who have been "OCCUPYING" all along, in the shadows of those places that the SYSTEM has abandoned. We will always MEET OPPRESSION with direct and defiant RESISTANCE! If you choose to stand strong when that time comes, and it will, we of the Anti-Society will come out from the shadows and STAND with you! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

In the meantime, continue to strengthen in numbers and to "WAKING UP" the sheeple!

Nap-town has been OCCUPIED!

Yesterday we the people occupied Indianapolis, In. Watch out B-town we have been here all along!

We will begin the peaceful occupation of the People's Park at 6pm on Sunday October 9th.

Here are the basics!

We have decided not to have a specific goal or message for this event because each person is drawn to this movement for a specific reason and that is part of what makes us powerful. We will have an event board so that if you are interested in working on a specific event or action you can post your interests and see who else wants to take part.

We will use this park as a central hub to plan other events and actions in different areas. If you are a part of Occupy Bloomington we ask that you keep all illegal drugs and alcohol off the premise. It is important that we show that we are serious and we do not want others to have any excuse to question our motives.

If you have a tent or any camping supplies please bring what you have. Every Little Helps. If you are not able to stay at the site, but still want to help or show support we have a variety of things that are JUST AS IMPORTANT as actually camping out. We all have different passions and skills and this will be most successful if everyone is willing to bring something to the movement.

We want this to be a wonderful kickoff so if you have any instruments please bring them along! Also bring poster board, paints, brushes and whatever else you can grab because we are going to have an arts and crafts night as well. if you have any ideas on how to make this a great kickoff, please suggest it!

Bring food to share as well and we can have a sort of impromptu picnic to celebrate the start of our occupation.

We have decided to not to adopt an abrasive position with law enforcement but remember that a conversation just about the weather can quickly turn into something much more heated. Exercise extreme caution when speaking with the Police.

It is important that we show solidarity not only with the protestors on Wall Street but within the Indiana movement and on a personal level with each other. Remember, together we are the 99%, alone we are 1 in 7 billion.

Strength Through Solidarity.

-Occupy Bloomington

Please look to the links at the top portion of this page to find out more about what is going on with the occupation of B-town! Don't forget to bring your video cameras and to submit any video that you would like to share to us on the contact page! Power to the people!

Democracy Now!

The program is hosted by award-winning journalists Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez and produced out of the Downtown Community Television Center, a community media center in New York City's Chinatown.

The War and Peace Report provides access to people and perspectives rarely heard in the U.S. corporate-sponsored media, including independent and international journalists, ordinary people from around the world who are directly affected by U.S. foreign policy, grassroots leaders and peace activists, artists, academics and independent analysts. In addition, the War and Peace Report hosts real debates -- debates between people who substantially disagree, such as between the White House or the Pentagon spokespeople on the one hand, and grassroots activists on the other.

Democracy Now! is a reoccurring post containing live feeds of news stories from around the United States and around the World that are updated daily, therefore A.S.t.v. cannot offer archiving of story content contained within the Democracy Now! posts.
